How Snacks Get Selected

Every snack in the box is carefully chosen with two things in mind: ingredient quality and kid appeal.

  1. I start with the label—if it’s not made with real, clean ingredients (no artificial dyes, junk, or fillers), it’s out. Everything has to meet better-for-you standards and be dietitian-approved.

  2. Then I taste it myself. If it passes, it goes to the real experts—my kids—to see if it’s something other kids will actually enjoy.

Only the snacks that pass both tests make the cut.

What makes Sampleit different?

We’re reinventing how families discover better-for-you snacks—by turning it into an interactive taste-test game that makes trying new foods fun, engaging, and appealing even to picky eaters.

Let's compare

Not all 'healthy' snack boxes are created equal. Here's how Sampleit raises the bar.

  Sampleit Other "healthy" snack boxes
Ingredient standards No artificial junk. Every snack is vetted for nutrition, clean ingredients, and minimal processing. That means no inflammatory oils, no gums or fillers, and no artificial sweeteners. Focuses on trendy claims like “natural” or “organic,” but often include inflammatory oils, sugar alcohols (like erythritol), artificial sweeteners (like sucralose), gums, and other additives.
Why this matters: Ingredients that seem healthy can still be harmful. Sneaky additives and fake sweeteners are linked to inflammation, gut issues, blood sugar spikes, and more—especially in kids.
Quality check Every product is reviewed and approved by a registered dietitian Unclear who is sourcing the products and what their credentials are.
Why this matters: Without expert review, products that appear healthy may still contain hidden harmful ingredients.
The Kid Experience Every box comes with a snack scorecard and stickers to rate each one—along with a few extra surprises to make it fun and educational. Snacks come, but there’s no way to make it fun or interactive for kids.
Why this matters: Turning it into a game makes kids more likely to try new things—and when they get to decide for themselves, they’re more open to better choices and feel in control.

Who’s behind Sampleit

Hi, I’m Paula- Founder of Sampleit.

This is my husband Greg and our two kids, Max and Maddyn (aka Maddie).

I’ve seen firsthand how hard it is to find better-for-you snacks that kids actually like—and how much money (and food) gets wasted in the process. I started Sampleit to give families a way to discover and try better-for-you snacks before committing to buying.
